Hi, I’m Erika Bennett.

Erika Bennett is a seasoned book coach and editor with 16 years of experience helping women write their books with clarity, structure, and keeping their voices intact.

She’s also a book branding strategist, writer, speaker, and content creator who’s worked with companies from hospital systems to household-name publications like PEOPLE, Lifehacker, Gizmodo, and NCOA.org.

A native Floridian now living in West Palm Beach with her husband and two beloved cats (Hemingway and Harper), Erika spends her free time reading, prioritizing wellness, and living a creatively full life under the Palm Beach sun. True to her nature, she’s often balancing a few things at once, including writing her first women’s fiction novel, traveling, spending time with family and friends, and staying up to date on her guilty pleasure—reality TV.

Why E.L.A?

The name E.L.A. Editorial Co. is a blend of tradition and intention.

When I got married in 2024, I wasn’t sure if I wanted to change my last name, but I knew I wanted to honor my marriage in a way that felt true to me. Using my married initials, E.L.A., is a quiet nod to both my Southern upbringing and the evolving nature of my personal identity.

It’s a name that carries weight and warmth. It’s equal parts clarity, complexity, and grace, which happens to be a lot like the writing process.

roots and reinvention.

A Book always starts with an idea.

A voice in your head, a note on your phone, a scene you can’t shake

Maybe you’ve been holding onto your idea for years or maybe it recently hit you on a walk and won’t leave you alone. Whatever stage you’re in, one thing is true: The way you shape your story matters.

At E.L.A. Editorial Co., I help women turn those quiet ideas into fully formed books without the pressure to be perfect or the fear of getting it wrong. We build a structure around your creativity, clarity around your voice, and a plan that works in real life.

Because your story deserves to be written. And read.

Dream it

You don’t need to sound “professional.”
You need to sound like you.

There are a million voices out there, but none are your perspective, your lived experience, or your voice.

For the woman with 47 Notes app drafts, half a Google Doc, and a book idea that won’t leave her alone, it’s time to write.

Let’s start there.

Build it

Clarity always beats perfection.

Your book doesn’t have to be finished before you treat it like something real. It is real. The idea, the process, the way it fits into your life—it’s all real.

You don’t have to see the whole path to move forward. You need a structure to guide you..

We’ll shape that together.
